Western Alliance is calling for fresh and innovative ideas to conduct research relevant to the western region of Victoria.

About Western Alliance

Western Alliance was the first Australian academic health science centre and network established exclusively to focus on regional and rural/remote health outcomes. It is a collaborative partnership between health services and academic institutions in western Victoria.

Our mission is to deliver collaborative health-care research and capability building programs that improve service delivery and health outcomes in western Victoria.

We do this by providing:

Each year, Western Alliance invites submissions of ideas for innovative research projects. The intention is to support the development of collaborative, applied and translational research to improve regional and rural/remote health outcomes. We are particularly keen to receive submissions from professionals in medical, nursing, allied health and related disciplines who may have limited research experience but can offer fresh ideas for clinical or non-clinical implementation in the health services context.

A total of $200,000 is available for this round of funding. The maximum available is $100,000 per individual project.
